While it is not DC Comics redemption in the movie industry it is a damn fine movie! While I didn't like the ending, and feel a much better solution was readily and easily available to Superman, the movie overall was good. I will be buying the Blu-Ray. If you are saying to yourself I'm not willing to take another chance on another Superman movie and I will just wait for the DVD, please do not wait, go see this movie today!!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors
Cons poor ending

The Mandarin, the ultimate archenemy of Iron Man and one of Marvel's most iconic super-villains, turns out to be just a random crack addicted actor hired to portray a terrorist and not real at all! Then we are supposed to believe that some bronzed, blonde haired, blue eyed, surfer type dude that can breathe fire is the true Mandarin!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's like Superman waking up to find out Lex Luthor was just a dream and didn't exist or the X-Men finding out that Magneto was just a Danger Room program and wasn't real at all. When is Stan Lee finally going to take some pride in his creations and say "No you can't change that"?
Pros great actors, action packed
Cons did not follow the comics at all, rewrites iconic characters and comic histories
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie rocks!

This is the best superhero movie to date! Even better than Iron Man. Loki was awesome! Hawkeye makes a quick appearance in this movie as a SHEILD agent also. Stick around after the credits for more movie. This is not an origin movie, this movie is for Thor fans. If you are not familiar with the Thor comics and characters then you will find yourself asking a lot of quesions as to what is what and who is who. But even despite that you will enjoy this movie and its comedy!
