Should it be save us from some weak plots? The FX & CGI are top notch, I think Sam Worthington played a fantastic part as Marcus Wright. Kudos also to Anton Yelchin as young Kyle Reese. This was not as bad as some say but its not T2. It needed a little something extra and felt the plot was not bad but at times it could have used a little more. Action, eye candy are all there. I recommend it but not a 5 star flick either.

i have been a Trek fan all my life seen all the Films & TV series. You will love this film whether a first time Trek fan or a long time one like me. I have not seen a film with so much action in it in years! The storyline is fantastic and you will definitely do some timeline thinking during and after the film. Director Abrams did a fantastic job bringing this together with stunning visuals, intense action and a good storyline. Definitely a new birth for an old legend.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
