I hate to say this as an old guy who watched Star Trek in the 60's, but the new crew is better and more exciting. I have seen this movie twice on IMAX, and will see it again. Good characters, good acting, good story, good CGI, get off your butt and go see this movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
