If you're a special effects nut, you might find yourself liking this movie. Other than that...I understand you have to suspend your belief system somewhat, but the action scenes are so over the top incredible (LA falls into the ocean and they just drive out of it? Really?) that I almost had to laugh. Even in disaster flicks, the poignant moments should bring a tear to your eye, but the actors (especially John Cusack) seem to have a hard time believing what they're doing. So, I didn't fall asleep, but I won't be seeing it again.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
