Action packed film

I had seen star trek growing up thanks to my dad who was a fan. Going into this was not really sure what to expect. I def think this is action packed all the way thru, w/ realistic special effects. All characters were likeable and fun to watch and pretty accurate to the original ones. Only fault I would say is that it is a little unrealistic at times when Kirk goes from cadet to captain in a few mins I think that is a bit of a jump also the chance that they find the bad guys on their first day. U have to push the I believe button a bit. I saw @ IMAX and was pretty impressive w/ all the action scenes and wide views. Young and old fans will enjoy this new take on an old series and I look forward to seeing where they will take this new crew!
