Major Disappointment

The positive reviews about this movie convinced me to watch it last night. It was a major disappointment to say the least. Adrien Brody does not portray his character very well. He doesn't have the "dark edge" required by such a character. Definite miscast in my opinion. For the most part, Topher Grace plays the same character he plays in all his movies - a dork. There are so many cliches in this movie. I could see lines coming minutes before they were spoken. The plot is very predictable. Yes, they tried to spice things up by introducing bigger "super predators," but really - they're just bigger. They didn't seem to have any more capabilities than the smaller predator. Nothing in the movie made you care about the fate of these characters. The had little connection to each other so when one of them dies you don't care either. The first Predator was without a doubt the best of the Predator series. This movie is just plane lame.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
