Overall, a good action movie, but a little disappointed in the characters and the story. Don't excpect the movie to meet up with the Trek time line as they changed it for the movie and Bones was too developed for this early in their story line. The other Treks told more story in less time, we don't have to have an action sequence every 5 minutes, leave those to other movies, and give us the story. This could have easily been a trilogy showing Kirk and Bones in Starfleet, then follow into 1st deployment on Enterprise, and end with Kirk getting command and his 1st mission.
Admittedly I am not a true trekky, but I felt let down by the way this was done, and found the story lacking.
