OMG! I have been watching Star Trek reruns since I was a kid and this movie surpassed all expectations! The special effects were fantastic and really made the story come alive even when the effects were a little over the top at times.
The movie still maintained some cheesiness but that was to be expected.

Yes, I recommend this movie.
