The movie is amazing, managing to populate each scene seamlessly with digital animation and character-actors. The 3D version is not worth the extra money however, as the depth of field and cinematography are Tim Burton at his best. The 3D effects only drown-out the visual experience as mere decoration rather than enhancing the film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
