Beautiful images but utterly predictable

Wonderful special effects and cinematography, as everyone says. But the story was extremely predictable. The overall arc is basically Dances with Wolves in blue paint, but with a happy ending for the hero. Worse, the development from one scene to the next in key dramatic moments was obvious. Strip away the effects and what have you got? A mediocre SF-fantasy story about the evils of human civilization and the nobility of primitives who nevertheless need to be saved by the rare ethical white man. You've seen that before. Recommended for the spectacle, not the story.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
