Having watched Star Trek with my dad when I was kid, I was hesitant about how this might play out. This was EXCELLENT. For those of us in the know there were many laughs and "A-Ha" moments. For those just now being introduced to Star Trek, welcome to the party. The way this played out, new fans will be starting their voyage, and old fans will be able to look forward to more Star Trek since . . . . well, I don't want to give the movie away. Lots of surprises, lots of twists, lots of action, and the Romulans are not as ugly as they were in the old days. :)
Yes, I recommend this movie.
