Regardless of whether or not the theme appeals to you, the visual detail in this movie is not to be missed. A masterpiece of the visual arts, James Cameron clearly accepted nothing short of perfection from his computer graphics crew. Even on close-up shots of the Nabi faces or when scrutinizing the background for flaws, everything looked completely real.
You can't miss this movie, even if just to marvel at the technical genius, though the entire world of Pandora is extremely well-imagined. Seeing this movie in RealD or IMAX 3D will be akin to looking back on seeing Star Wars when it first came out.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
