They got the job done!

I have been a Star Trek fan most of my life. I was both excited and skeptical when word of this movie reached me. despite many unknown actors. I was interested though, in those would would dare to re-work Star Trek. All my fears and all my hopes were quelled and fulfilled!
But, I can say trust the judgments of the director!
The characters are well played and this is not a weak plot! Special effects? WOW. Nothing cheesy or too unbelievable, just fast and fun. I plan on seeing this again as soon as possible and if in IMAX all the better!
All gushing aside, This is not a re-make! This is not some re-hash. This is a great re-telling of a great story and I hope it is just the 1st chapter of many! I loved it!
