As a fan of the original Star Trek television series and the many movie and tv spinoffs, I thought JJ Abrams did an outstanding job of weaving a fantastic storyline about how the initial crew of the USS Enterprise first met, but it also allows a new generation of movie goers to be introduced to the whole Star Trek world. Furthermore, the cast of the movie did an exceptional job of bringing the characters to life.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
