Better than I expected or hoped

After the Enterprise Debacle (Thank you, Manny Coto, for trying to rescue Star Trek; I'm sorry you didn't get time to give the franchise all the love you had to offer), I was really nervous about this movie. I didn't dare get my hopes up too high. The more I saw of the previews, the more I feared they were going to cram too much into the film. Then the movie began. As each character I grew up loving was reintroduced to me, I fell in love with them again. I found myself entranced, involved & rediscovering this universe with fresh awe. This is a well-deserved reboot to a much-loved franchise. I adored this movie. I'm already planning to see it again soon, wondering when I can buy the DVD. I'm also eagerly awaiting JJ's next Star Trek project!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
