I guess never reading the books, and being a humanities major you can appreciate all the jokes, all the art comments, all the different individuals that were mentioned in the movie. Sometimes you could loose interest cause the plot is dense, and it is often too hard to watch. Sure, its nothing like the book neither was the harry potter movies. But there was a good point in the movie, which was, Do you believe in God? and Was it God's purpose in sending Tom Hanks to save the church.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
