Don't expect this to be a comic book. It's not. Don't expect it to adhere strictly to the source material. It won't.
Set those two things aside and watch this movie. Then watch it again. Then again.
Then tell your friends why taking a sword to your ex's wedding is memorable.
This movie rocks. It achieved everything it set out to do, and set the plotlines and possibilities for spinoffs. I want GAMBIT AND DEADPOOL IN THEIR OWN MOVIES NOW.
Also, to the person that decided Deadpool should have his mouth sewn shut and Cyclops' concussive eye beam:
Herpes. I want you to have herpes.
Thanks, Marvel. You brought this where it should have been and delivered. I would walk until my feet bled and keep walking to see this again. See you then.
