Well, I'm going to go against most of what I've read about this movie. I watched the original Trek in the 60's and this is nothing like the original. Spock did not have a girl friend, MCcoy was not a goof ball and Kirk was not a skirt chasing womanizer (they chased him). They tried to make this movie entertaining for the "new" generation of Trekkies. But for me it just didn't work. I probably wont even buy it on DVD. A huge disappointment. for me. The kids will love it though.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
