I went with my father, and it was an excellent movie, even though neither of us are kids. On one side, it has a very touching story line about a man finally finishing his and his late wife's dreams - and a boy who almost never gets to see his family, and looks for one in the old man - and on the other side, it has ample amount of comedy in the form of a grumpy old man stuck with a whiny boy...and then a giant bird and a talking dog. For a kids' movie, it's got a lot of ironic humor in it, so that both children and adult can enjoy it.
I was never expecting much, but it was an excellent movie, nonetheless.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
