Trek is back

The new Star Trek was very enjoyable. Zachary Quinto is an excellent young Spock, and while not as pretty as young Shatner, Chris Pine captures the role well. The film had action, humor, peril, twisty time paradoxes, explosions, romance - pretty much what you would expect from a Star Trek outing. It was nice to see Leonard Nimoy again, although I thought he was in it a little too much, coming back near the end. I thought Mr Urban captured the essence of Dr McCoy the best. It was an enjoyable movie, Trekkers will be happy to see Trek again, and new fans will have a new adventure. The time business lets them off the hook of following the past. I was leery of what JJ Abrams would do with the franchise, but he did a great job!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
