A shorter complete story with more lighter moments would have done the trick, in my opinion. Instead it was too heavy and too dark, and we are left to wait another year for the sequel?

The story doesn't connect clearly enough. The depth of the motive for the particular murder is not developed far enough. Thus an incomplete story.
