A Tribute without Tribbles

Since day one I was skeptical about a TOS movie. Nervous that J.J. Abrams would lack the genuine undertones that made Star Trek what it is today. I held no great expectations and watched in horror as Star Trek became a mainstream trend =O
Like the loyal Trekkie I am, I combed every moment for flaws and irregularities. But beneath the blinding strobe of lens flairs, the only thing I could come up with was the number of phaser and photon torpedo canons on the Enterprise was absurd.
J.J. Abrams has created a beautiful thing here. He left us with an open door to breathe new life for the next generation of Trekkies, but at great risk of taking it too far. This fantastic tribute to TOS could go the way of the TV Series Enterprise.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
