At times hysterical, heart-wrenching and thought-provoking, "This American Life" is not only entertainment but some of the best journalism out there. It reports on culture and taps into the American psyche like no other program. Its live broadcast on the big screen retained all the quirks that have made it a cult classic but added layers of visuals unavailable on the radio. Ira Glass leads his troupe of correspondents as they confess, commiserate and crack up -- all around the theme of "returning to the scene of the crime." 90 minutes wasn't enough.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
