A Perfect Getaway

If the movie is not an A, then at least the scenery is, beautifully shot in Hawaii with some breathtaking views from the air. The film paces itself fairly well with good performances by Timothy Oliphant and Steve Zahn. I liked Olyphant portraying a quirky nice guy as opposed to the cold hearted, angry charachter he played in Live Free Or Die Hard, in fact his charachter was so different I didn't recognize him at first. The writer, David Twohy keeps us guessing as to who the bad guys are. I also thought the lengthy black and white flashbacks were an interesting way to answer the questions of, who, why and how. Overall not a great movie, but a good 98 minute summer diversion with an ending that satisfies.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
