I took my 7 year old daughter to see this movie and ended up falling in love with the Bieber! His talent, perseverance, and boyish charm and good looks is absolutely inspiring. The movie definitely captures his phenomenal rise - fighting for his opportunity against all odds. He has an incredible family and team around him. He works very hard and clearly is sacrificing a lot to make his dream come true. He drives his fans wild and it's definitely an out of this world story. It teaches our kids to work hard, follow your dreams and let God handle the rest.
This movie is all about Zac Efron and he did a great job with what he was working with. Actually, I think he's a much better actor than this tween movie would indicate and hopefully he starts moving into more serious roles.
As for the movie, everything, and I mean everything was quite contrived. Further, it's certainly not the most encouraging message for our children to be encouraged to give up their dreams, education and future earning potential to become teenage parents with the hope that everything will be okay with love; but, it's a movie and there were some very good messages about abstinence as well. Overall, the movie was just OK.
