If Gene Roddenberry's dream was that someone else could make the series better then J.J. Abrams did the right thing.
The movie is the best of the everything. I'll see it again so I can see what I missed the first time around. The underlying story is what is best, followed by great acting, and finally special effects. Usually the order is reversed. We're lucky to see Abrams put his talents on this. I hope we're lucky enough to get another.... SOON!!!
