After seeing Twilight (#1) and being incredibly disappointed with the constant dark and mopey atmosphere that surrounded the entire movie, I was pleasantly surprised when New Moon was significantly better. However, I can honestly say that Eclipse is at least three times better than either Twilight OR New Moon. The actors have finally become comfortable enough with each other that K Stew and R Patt are no longer extremely awkward and anxious around each other (as it seemed in the last two movies) and Taylor Lautner really nailed his part as Jacob (much more believable than New Moon). I felt that they kept almost all of the important parts from the book in the movie, with a few details left out. Still, the scene in the tent when Jacob and Edward are hiding Bella from Victoria really struck me as the best scene in the whole movie. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has read the books, although I will say it was more violent than the previous movies, so parents be forewarned if your young daughters are begging you to go see it.
