A different path for Trek

I have been a Trekker since I was 9 years old and was quite worried this movie was going to ruin my dear "Star Trek." Not only is it not ruined, it has created a new generation of Trekkers. (Trekkest?)
While part of this movie made me sad (you'll see when it implodes) I also was laughing and in suspense the entire time.
While my non-useful Trek knowledge is now even more non-useful, this new AU of Trek is one I look forward to exploring!
