Terrific Kids Movie, FINALLY!

I am VERY picky about what my kids watch..the fact that this movie is rated PG made me wary. But it was honestly one of the cutest and most appropriate childrens movies I've seen. Nothing raunchy, or overly violent or inappropriate. My 7-year old thought it was great, and I was happy to finally sit through a movie 'for kids' that was actually appropriate for kids! Excellent.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not for small children!

It really is such a shame that the beautiful scenery & fantastic footage of wild animals is overpowered by the violence & killing of some gorgeous creatures. The trailer was VERY misleading. After the 3rd or 4th time of covering my kids' eyes during violent scenes, I had had enough. Unfortunately, that's all they remembered; the loud scary music, the sounds of fighting, and having to close their eyes for several scenes. Those few parts completely took away from all the great parts of the film, and my kids called it "scary," "spooky," & "sad" as we left the theater. They actually asked to leave before the movie was even over. (They are 7 and 3 yrs old) Terrible.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
