Fantastic! Just loved it. Prepare to feel like you missed these characters, even if you weren't much a fan of the franchise before (which I wasn't). An engaging, affecting and effective origin story with time travel, getting the gang together and interracial buddy story elements, and more than a dash of Star Wars. Just great entertainment, and as a result the best summer blockbuster I've seen since possibly ever. Including Star Wars, so there.
Self-indulgent, sophomoric, humourless crap masquerading as Deep and Important featuring two of the dullest, least charismatic central performances (Sienna Miller & Jon Foster) ever. There’s nothing interesting about these characters or their mindbogglingly insipid "controversial" 3-way relationship. Wow! Two men kissing! Well, Myron, we've seen it all now! Mena Suvari briefly lifts proceedings with a sparky performance that just serves to show how uninspired everything else is. Irritating VO in the first third disappears only to reappear at the end to tie everything up in a fatuous and unbelievably pat way. The film is not appalling, it's just so mediocre we ought to be appalled, especially considering the source material and its author.
