3D has come of age

The plot was like a cross between "Battle for Terra" and "Dances With Wolves". I saw very few plot holes like in Star Trek which was full of them. It made it very believable and enjoyable. The integration of the 3D effects into the 3D instruments was remarkable. After the movie I felt like I had to learn how to walk again.
I highly recommend this movie.

Failed to deserve the name Star Trek

I was hoping for the movie promised with new actors and ideas to revamp the ST movies. Movie has lots of action and an average story. All the content that makes Star Trek great was gone. The science was laughable. Canon is gone even for items not covered by the time line change. Orci either doesn't know Trek or is incompetent to write it. The content and continuity was weak. Lots of inserted Trek hype was not enough to make a good movie.
