Too scary and emotional for kids

My daughter, who is 6, was so looking forward to seeing Toy Story 3, having enjoyed 1 and 2 so much. I was so disappointed in this film. It is far too scary, emotional, adult-like content, was over the top for a G rated kids film. When it was over she said it was too scary and was crying at the end. What kinds of films are they making for KIDS these days? Where was the happy charm that Toy Story 1 and 2 had? The baby toy scared even me - this baby toy was like out of a horror film. I would not have rated this G at all. Too bad.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
