I am a fan of both of these Hollywood legends, so I went into this movie expecting genius. I was not disappointed. While not your usual 'feel good' movie, this flick was a refreshing reprieve from high-tech razzle dazzle of other summer offerings. While I LOVE my high tech razzle dazzle movies, Larry Crowne reminded me once again of the magic of cinema: as an escape outside your comfort zone and daily life. Bravo Hanks and Roberts. You did it again. :)
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I will refrain from giving away the movie, but suffice it to say that this is the best of the HP series. Special effects are dazzling, the mood of the movie is constant throughout, foreboding and anxiety-filled. Go see this movie. :) Even though it is available in IMAX, 3D would offer an equally amazing experience. Go now! :)
I saw Borat and LOVED IT for its brashness, boldness, and 'in your face' taunting of society's pathologies. I expected Bruno to follow in line. Bruno is brash and bold, but with no social message. Bruno is the Sacha Cohen version of JackAs*, or a movie created only for shock value. Cohen slashes at every 'victim' of society, from Mexican laborers to the Christian Right to Arab refugees. He spares NO ONE. While the adult content is EXTREME, as an open-minded New Yorker, I tolerated it. I was STILL shocked, but not offended to the point of failing to see the comical redeeming quality. If you're one to like shock value, see this movie. If your sensibilities usually get the best of you, I'd save the $12 and wait for the video.
This movie was a great movie, and exactly what I expected it to be. While the storyline was original, it shared some bits with the last Die Hard movie. Aside from that, the story twists made for a surprise ending. I'd recommend this to anyone with a penchant for thrillers and with active imaginations.
