I have seen many versions of A Christmas Carol and read the book. This stays true to the sense of the book, while providing tremendous animation and additional elements. Acting was terrific, and the animators did a great job of having physical elements of the actors in the characters they voiced. While this is not a movie for small children (Jacob Marley creeps out adults), it will be enjoyed by older children and up.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
