This film deals with family tragedy, family dysfunction, and the importance of healing through the power of of love. I took my 16 year old son to see it. His reaction: "Mom, seriously, that was the best movie I have ever seen." He said, "granted, I haven't seen a ton of movies, but that movie was great." As we were leaving the theater, he said. "Quick, Mom, I need to get home to watch some hockey or do something.. manly". I told him it is manly to cry. He went on to say, "Mom, this movie changed me". Hey, Mr. Fetters, Mr. Coulter, and Mr.Pattinson, what more could film-makers ask for? Changing lives. See Remember Me with someone you love.
This is a lovely film with a dynamic ensemble cast of interesting characters that you at once identify with whole-heartedly.
The main character Art, portrayed impeccably by Robert Pattinson is heartbreaking and vulnerable in his willingness for personal growth and futile attempts at "getting fixed"
In the end.. Art, (along with the rest of us) simply need ....to be.
