My kids are 8 and 10, saw it last night, and while I grumble about the cost of 3-D tix...this is one film I would pay to see 2x in 3-D. Beautiful cinematography and animation. It might be a little frightening to children under 5 if they scare easy. But most of the dragons have a certain goofiness to their figures even if they have big teeth. It made me laugh. "Toothless" the black dragon is very cute. Good storyline, loyalty, trust, seeking to understand others, and overcoming bias.
It's just a feel good movie. I enjoyed it more than Avatar, which I thought was over-hyped and had a very predictable storyline.
