I am a white woman who ran to the theater to see this movie. Not only do I LOVE Janet Jackson (who was superb in this movie, btw) but I believe any WOMAN can relate to this movie, its an artistic emotional journey of love, relationships, self discovery, and life. I thought the performances of every actress in the movie were outstanding, so much depth and emotion, you felt the pain, the actresses connected so much with their words and actions. should truly be an oscar potential winner. tyler Perry out did himself again!
I took my son and husband and I truly loved this movie. Great message, great comedy and drama. As a mother of a young boy, I cried like a baby watching Andy grow up, go to college, and struggle with giving his toys up and seeing his mom struggle to let Andy go. I think its a great movie for children but adults can equally appreciate it as well!
This movie was good, great scenery and Julia Roberts was beautiful, good to see her back on the screen, however, the movie was very long and very slow. The message of the movie was understood and was a good one but I do think the movie was missing some pizzazz
This movie had my heart in my throat most of the time. Some gory parts but not too bad, mostly a thriller suspense movie. Rape scene was harsh though. This movie definitely stays true to the saying, take care of your own. These parents stop at nothing to protect their child. It was a good movie!
My husband and I took my three yr old to see this movie. It was good, funny, bright, and entertaining. We saw the 3D version which was really cool. The lesson of the plot was a tad more on the adult or older kid age level but my 3 yr old was entertained enough to sit the whole time and even chuckled in spots. It gets a thumbs up from all of us!
