Rarely does the third installment of a trilogy deliver but Dark Knight Rises exceeds the prior two installments in every way--including the most important--the viewer--at least this viewer--became emotionally connected to both the story and the characters. This connects like blockbusters did when I was a kid--it was Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and Jaws all wrapped into one! Not just action and fight scenes--but action and fight scenes emotionally charged and connected to characters we actually care about. That is the key--and today it is so very rare!! So rare I began to think Hollywood forgot how to make a movie like the Dark Knight Rises. I left the movie and walked out of the theater--moved, shaken, and in awe....in short...I felt like a kid again...thanks Dark Knight!! Thanks to Chris Nolan and cast and crew! Well Done!
