OVERRATED BORE

It does not take 2.5 hours to tell this simple story, yet the director drags out one concept with only 30 mins of special effects towards the end of the movie.
To get a rival to decide to close his father's business, the team must enter his dream and convince him it was HIS idea.
Ok, understood. Quickly. Since the movie takes place in the rival's dream mostly, one begins to think: I cannot relate to this. Most dreams are nowhere near this.
Trying to mesh James Bond explosions with Matrix concepts is fine - but 2.5 hours to tell this story was too much. I found myself glancing at my watch from 30 mins into the movie...when will this END???
Leonardo does not do anything to make himself own his character; in other words, replace him with ANYONE in Hollywood and one wouldn't notice the change. In fact, no character in the movie stands out as someone you care about.
Forget the hype and ignore the rave reviews...save your money.
You might even consider passing this movie when it comes out on cable.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Too long and too repetitive to make their historical point. Johnny Depp is only partially seen for the first half until all his costars are killed off. Then he is the actual star of the second half. Nothing to showcase his talent. Interesting historical facts inserted into the movie that I was not aware of. Wait for the DVD release.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
