Excellent script. Good continuity. Character development is interesting and compelling. Holmes, Watson and the secondary characters are more humanized in this film than in previous iterations. This is a good thing as it makes for compelling relationships which enhance the story. Special effects are in line with the script and are not so overwhelming as to detract from the arc of the picture. I recommend this film and hope that sequels, if any, live up to its promise.
