I was dubious about spending the extra 3 bucks (or so) for IMAX, but was so glad I did! I was at Century City, and the screen was indeed much larger, especially taller, and the picture was amazingly sharp and the sound was quite impressive too. Many movies you don't need this, but with Inception, I think it really enhanced the experience, and I've seen it BOTH ways. Which tells you how much I loved the movie, doesn't it?
Best thing about it is the two characters, and the actors who made them SO real! I loved and cared about both of them, they were both so honest, each with his and her own version of reality. We've all been a Tom, we've all been a Summer. Or known them. You WILL relate! And you will LAUGH! (and maybe cry). I went and then went back the next day and brought a bunch of friends. Don't miss this one, it's this year's Juno for sure.
Have to say it's been just too highly praised. Yeah, it was funny as in what passes for funny these days, but can't say brilliant... I'd warn older people that there is more raunch than you might feel comfortable with. We don't see sex or nudity, but plenty of (pet) feces and (people on people) vomit; oh and LOTS of talk about various sex acts, the how, the parts involved, etc.
