If you liked the book, you'll probably like the movie. If you didn't like or haven't read the book, better skip this one. 2 hours and 14 min. of one woman traveling the world being selfish. And having boring, plotless conversation while she's doing it.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

not as good as trailer--still worthwhile

The editors of the trailer should get an Oscar. I thought the movie was good overall, but a little slow at times. In some ways, I was moved more by the trailer. I will say that the portrayal of the homeless in LA was sobering and extremely well done. This is worth going to the theater to see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
