The movie was generally good, and I loved how they developed the relationships between the main charachers. However, the film makers butchered the main plot point - Dumbledore preparing Harry to find the Horcruxes. In the movie, Dumbledore incorrectly tells Harry that the horcruxes could be anything, like portkeys. I would recommend reading the book before seeing the movie in order to understand the story line.
