The singing and acting was marvelous but the stage setting didn't appeal alltogether to me. I know this was written long ago but I was still disturbed by the way the character of Margarite was treated
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Simon Boccanegra was spectacular; the music, the acting, the voices, etc. I have been attending all of this year's operas Live in HD and find it fascinating to learn so much more than I could if I actually went to the Met.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This was a mind-boggling experience. I loved the concept of a planet where everything is so obviously connected that all its inhabitants treat it with respect. I wish I was living on one.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

In addition to all the glorious voices, the production was very well directed; revealing the personalities of the performers and how they dealt with the stress. It kept me fully engaged the entire time and was very educational.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

By reducing the stage sets and props, the story itself became much more engrossing. The performers, in addition to excellent voices, were amazing actors and I was moved to tears on more than one occasion. I loved the Japanese minamalism and the puppetry just took my breath away.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
