Great Ending for the Planet

Although I wish Rolland Emmerich would have researched and verbalized the science surrounding the treories mentioned a little better and worked harder on an ending, I believe he did a very good job in presenting an escapist scifi thriller. I do admit it had a very thin subplot, but I along with many who went to see it went for the destraction and the destruction and carnage of the world as we know it. I love the genre and have to admit "I am Legend" is still the best, but I'd place this movie smoothly between that and "Dawn of the Dead" followed closely by "Day After Tomorow". If you love to imagine the end of the world, then you will love this film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
