Even the $6.00 Saturday morning showing is a waste

I thought it ironic and funny that the Syfy channel has been advertising a showing of "Battle of Los Angeles". This is a different movie than "Battle Los Angles". It is a B rate movie that is only meant for television.
This morning a funny thing happened while I was watching Battle Los Angeles at the AMC theater, I realized the only difference between it and the Syfy movie was the ticket price and the word "of".
The characters are cliche. The story is cliche. The acting is average at best. It is a poor version of the movie "Independence Day". It actually goes as far to steal a line from Independence Day in the second half of the movie.
Do not waste your time or money on Battle Los Angeles. When it is on cable tv this summer and you have absolutely nothing else to do because it is raining and your weekend has been ruined anyway, give it a looksie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

It's an entertaining movie with action and a little mystery. The acting is solid, but the story line is simple.
I definitely like the "power" of the movie in IMAX.
It is worth the money for an evening of entertainment.
Very good movie. It does a great job of setting up more Star Trek movies. I think all of the actors hit their mark with each character. I think one key part of the movie could have been omitted and it would have significantly increased the desire for additional movies. First experience in an IMAX. Sound was awesome, but I think the video was too much. Have to see the movie in regular theater to judge. I think any person who likes action / adventure movie will enjoy this picture.
Maybe I am not intelligent enough to understand the concept of a graphic novel, but I know a horrible movie when I am tortured by it. This movie had no flow. The story continuously jumped around. The director tried to build a background for the viewer unsuccessfully. Instead of adding to your interest / curiosity of each character and storyline it just added to your uncertainty of what this movie was about. Excluding Dr Manhattan, I am still unsure if the Watchman have special powers. All of the acting was overacting except Jackie Earle Haley. If you can go to a movie and enjoy it just for special effects, then maybe this movie is tolerable. I want the 2.5 hours of my life I wasted on this movie back!
