This is a story about love, not a love story. Although the characters Tom and Summer played prominent roles, Love and its limitations in a relationship were clearly the central characters. The shifting of days captured an actual walk through memories of an individual. Adding to the story, the cinematography also worked to create the feel of memory. The colors were dark enough to lose the vibrance of life, but still were enough to highlight the piercing blue eyes of Deschanel. In a day of crystal clear HD pictures, It was refreshing to see the picture unpolished. The graininess spoke to the loss of detail in memory.
The movie is excellent, probably not what most would be expecting, but nonetheless worth the time to see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
