Great gamer/fanboy film

For those who are not comic geeks or gamers, this may not be the film for you. For the rest of us, it's a hoot! The "reality" merges the real world with the world of video games; incredible martial arts skills, graphics, earning points for fight combos! lol Throw in a young man learning that's he's kind of a jerk, and growing from his experience, and you've got a new take on the man-child in America.
I'm a gamer/comic geek/martial artist, so this film was great for me. I will concede there were some parts that moved a little slowly for me, but overall I enjoyed the film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Left me underwhelmed

I'm a HUGE fan of the books, so am never happy when too many liberties are taken with the film version. This film, though beautifully shot, felt lacking.
***(SPOILER ALERT)***(SPOILER ALERT)***
If you haven't read the books, stop here!
The way Dumbledore's death was handled was so wrong! Harry would have NEVER stood by while his beloved mentor was being attacked. That's why in the book Dumbledore stupefies Harry and has him in the invisibility cloak. HE knew Harry would fight for him no matter what.
And touching as the "wands up" tribute to Dumbledore was. It pales in comparison to the funeral described in the book.
Enjoyable, but not the best in the series.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
