One thing I realized is that you HAVE to go into this movie with an open mind...that is if you are an avid Trek watcher.
Overall, this is an excellent movie, but being a nitpicker when it comes to techy stuff, I saw many things that could have been done better. A couple things stood out, the promotion of Kirk being one of them and the other is the relationships of the fellow crew. My fav character was McCoy, played to a tee by Carl Urban. Chris pine did an excellent job as Kirk, you could really see that this guy did his homework.
If you are a trekkie, see it, if not, see it anyways. This is an entertaining movie that is worth the price of admission. :)
