This was the best movie I have seen in ages. Script, actors, effects...everything was superb. All of this while maintaining a respect for the Star Trek franchise. Exceeded my expectations!

Great family fun for all ages!

All of my kids including a 17 year-old all the way down to a 7 year-old loved this film. (My wife and I did too!) As others have said, the film was not a laugh-a minute but there were a few genuine 'moments' of comedic brilliance where my wife and found ourselves unexpectedly laughing out load. 3-D effects were well done and not overly gimicky. Plot was a on the light side but easy for kids to understand and adequate for adults. Overall, I highly recommend this film for anyone looking for some good family entertainment.

Film is definitely long. On the plus side, film provides a great deal of interesting backstory for all major characters.
